Martin Ruff


Martin has been working in the entertainments industry since he left school, some 20+ years ago.


An experienced sound engineer, Class 1 HGV driver and qualified electrician Martin has worked in west-end and regional theatres and has now worked on over 800 indoor and outdoor productions with his company Koncept Productions

The Supervisor

Jacob Ruff-Peace


Jacob passed his degree in sound engineering at the SAE Institute in 2010 and has gained a wealth of experience since.


As part of the Koncept team he now takes charge of our event projects, and holding a full Class 1 HGV licence he also takes care of our transport needs

The Old Man

Dennis Ruff


Dennis has had a lifetime of working in the electrical engineering and telecommunications industries. With a passion for sound and lighting Dennis has been behind the scenes for many theatrical productions and is a keen traditional DJ running his own Disco.


Dennis can be seen on many of Koncept's events and has been known to dip his hand in his pocket to help finance major spends for the company.

From small beginnings in 1994 providing P.A. systems for small band nights around Herts & Bucks, Koncept productions has grown year on year, now with multiple areas of business. In addition to our extensive stock of stages, sound and lighting equipment and personnel to operate it, we have an inflatable hire business with more than 35 bouncy castles, slides and activity inflatables as well as numerous mascots that attend parties & events. Our experienced team include sound engineers, lighting technicians, registered electricians, children's entertainers and many crew to help with the various events we attend.


We specialise in a custom approach to planning the technical side of events, and although we can offer an off-the-shelf solution we can make things that little more special with just a touch of care and attention.


With stage hire now a big part of what we do, we are able to offer everything event organisers need to get live music at their festival with as little hassle as possible.


Choosing our stages

We took time in choosing our stages to make sure they were as versatile as possible. We have provided sound & lighting services on many stages in the two decades and have spoken with many event organisers. One of the most common bits of feedback we had is that people like to see the performers during daytime performances, and this can be difficult on dark enclosed stages. We also find on some of the open sided trailer stages that the roof is very low, making it difficult to hang moving lights without the artists banging their heads.

So armed with lots of must-have criteria we went looking for a solution and came across the the first of the stages we have now from our Dutch suppliers. As well as supplying the stages with everything we need they are also able to provide a complete customisation service allowing any of our clients to turn the stage into a huge advertising space, with a full size custom printed back drop, printed wraparound skirt and banners for the front.


Now with three trailer stages, all with ample height and the option of translucent sides to let natural light in when needed, we have a stage solution to suit every event. And to top it all off we also stock a large amount of modular stage decking to either add size to our trailer stages or as stand alone stages for indoor and outdoor use.
